Diegamescom has introduced the nominees for the GamesCom Award 2021. In 22 categories, games are honored every year, making a particular thing particularly well. For multiplayer fans, 6 of them are interesting above all. We summarize Meinmmo.
What are the GamesCom Awards? At this price, games are honored for that what they can do particularly well. In categories like Best PC Game, Best Indie Game and Best Multiplayer Game the games occur against each other. This evaluates a jury of the Gamescom.
An exception of this form the categories Best Streamer and the Most Wanted Consumer Award. In these two prices, the community can now vote itself (via SurveyMonkey.de).
Which categories are particularly exciting? As fans of multiplayer titles, you should specifically throw an eye on the Best Multiplayer Game and Best Ongoing Game categories. Here are a total of 6 exciting titles against each other. Ongoing Game is a game that is further developed and further new content brings. This is also called Games AS-A service. In the following we introduce you to the most exciting titles for multiplayer fans, including then you will find a list of all nominated titles.
When will the winners be tarred? The main winners will be announced in the context of Gamescom Opening Night live on August 25 from 8 pm. All other winners will receive their prices as part of the Gamescom Studios on Thursday and Friday.

11.5 title for multiplayer fans
Nominated in the category Best Multiplayer: Nominated for the best multiplayer mode are the titles Halo Infinite, Riders Republic and The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes. We would like to introduce you to the games shortly:
- Halo Infinite is the nearest offshoot of the Halo series and clearly puts its focus on the multiplayer. In different game modes you can compete in small teams or large groups against each other. In addition, you should build new cards yourself or shoot the turnip from the head in the Arena mode in the smallest room.
- Riders Republic does not focus on fights, but on sports. With up to 50 players you must be in various cycle races, on skate and snowboards as well as on skis and with paragliders in the air. So it sounds like a really good MMO, if you do not have a buck on fighting.
- The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes is more Koop Game as a large multiplayer title. As you are used to it from the turn, you will scare you. The horror game takes you this time as an American soldier in the Iraq of 2003, where you will find scary things in below the sand. The focus is not on action, but on story and decisions.
Nominated in the category Best Ongoing Game: Games are good, good games are even better and great games that never stop, that's perfect. In this category, games are excellent, which do not stop and get new content. APEX Legends, Black Desert Online and Endzone - A World Apart are nominated.
- Apex Legends is one of the best Battle-Royal Games in the market. In a futuristic setting, you choose your heroes and strike in the best Battle-Royale Manier from the next best airplane.
