The new Steam Deck systems of Valve are finally beginning to be in the hands of those who could block their reservations and purchases within the first round of orders, but some people ended up receiving a little more than a traditional delivery. Gabe Newell, the president and co-founder of Valve, personally delivered a pair of different Steam Decks with a camera team to show how those deliveries were when the unsuitable buyers opened their doors to see Gabe himself.
The social accounts configured for Steam Deck, as the Twitter account then shared the video that shows the results of Gabe's deliveries. The video shows that the recipients received a notice that Valve would give Steam Decks to certain buyers who lived near Valve, but the people, of course, did not expect the president of the company to deliver the systems himself.
Gabe also signed the Steam Decks that he delivered. As shown towards the end of the video, every time Gabe left some Steam decks for people along with moving trucks, he even gave them some people who had not even made early orders. A Reddit user who said that he was one of the people who obtained a Steam Deck next to the movement truck said he called Gabe, who approached them later and the user predicted accurately that this would appear in a Steam Deck promotion.
"I saw a team of cameras climbing my neighbors' house while carrying things on my truck," Reddit and Removal Recipient User from Steam Deck SeattreaInpidgeons said. "My roommate recognized the guy who followed as Gaben, I did not believe him, our other roommate then verified that he was effectively Gabe. After delivering my neighbor's deck, we shout 'Hello, Gabe!'. At that time, he asked how many were living in the house, then returned to his truck and grabbed a deck to each 1. It was also filmed by receiving ours, so I assume that they will be used in some promotion or online. Very good day".
Since the launch of Steam Deck, there have already been conversations about whether price increases could occur or not, as well as complaints about Steam Deck faces. Steam Deck is still quite new with many more orders for leaving, so wait for these discussions to continue as more units are delivered.
