While the games taking place in the dark darkness of the far future of Warhammer 40,000 have been quite random over the years - Games Workshop was infamous for having licensed intellectual property to just about all that developer teams wanted For a while - there is a game that entered history as one of the best representations of the emblematic framework we have ever seen: Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine de Rerlic Entertainment. Now 10 years after the initial exit of Space Marine, Relic launched a birthday edition of the game, filled with old and new content.
Space Marine follows the Captain Titus of the 2nd company of ultramarines (the big blue guys with the chainsaw swords) while he directs his small team of genetically modified super-soldiers on mission to save a planet-factory of the invasion Ork. He received many DLCs for his multiplayer mode, allowing players to equip their marine space with the colors of emblematic factions throughout the history of the game, the spectral Legion of the Damned to the ignoble Death Guard. The Anniversary Edition Pack includes all published DLCs for Space Marine, as well as some new goodies.
For the first time, Space Marine - Anniversary Edition will allow players to get their hands on the full tape of the game, classic and brand new wallpapers, the original launch trailer, a ringtone and PDFs of the Original manual, the official strategic guide, the Artbook Collector s Edition and a series of collector cards.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine is undoubtedly one of the most popular video games of the Empire of the Games Workshop Table, the fans still calling for a sequence, 10 years after its release. Although the closure of the Thq game publisher seems to have destroyed any project to continue the history of Captain Titus, this celebration could perhaps bring a glimmer of hope to the dark darkness of the future of the series.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine - Anniversary Edition is a free update for anyone who owns the original game on Steam - and you can get it right now!
