Overwatch: Blizzard will rename Jesse McCree soon in the game

The developer team of Owatch has announced on Twitter that you will rename Jesse McCree in the team shooter. The name of the hero was based on an employee at Blizzard Entertainment, which was released in the course of the Sexism Action of the Federal State of California. However, there was no further details on his termination. In a detailed statement, the team has expressed itself to the decision of the McCree name change.

Originally, Blizzard wanted to organize a story event in Oververt in September, where McCree would have played an important role. But this story is now postponed for the time being at the end of the year - the makers want to submit the name change there. Instead of the events, OverVATCH players may now look forward to a new FFA card in September. Blizzard also announced that in the future, no more in-game characters will be named after employees of the company.

The real Jesse McCree was involved in the team of Blizzard Entertainment for many years and, for example, enhancements by World of Warcraft, Diablo 3 or Diablo 4.
