The doll game has some interesting origins.
I said several times that I think Supung is the best game from Remedy Entertainment. It is not only a fantastic title for itself, it also succeeds all the different themes and motives that the company has played over the years to bring together a bizarre package. One thing that makes it so unique is the world of steuerung with its many background stories and pictures. An example of this is the Threshold kids, a rough-looking puppet game that reveals different aspects of the world. Now we get a look at what this show has inspired and how it almost did not happen.
In an interview with Fanbyte, the Narrative Lead of the game, Anna Megill said that the original inspiration for the video series were the YouTube videos used a similar duppt style, and mentioned in particular do not hug me i'm scared, a series of dark and surreal doll games.
She also revealed that the idea had never made it to the final project and many people thought the idea was to silly. Ultimately, she insisted, and as an employee found out that she knew how to make dolls, and came out of a city that was known for her art, everything felt together.
Megill also said that they had written several other short films, which did not do it into the final. This year there are two stories-based extensions. Maybe they will emerge there in any form. We just have to wait and see.
